Prayer before Round 8

Sept 18, 2023

This last round of chemo was much harder than all the others. Ben’s symptoms lingered the longest and he has experienced fatigue much longer than any other rounds previously. If I’ve seen you face to face the last few weeks, I’ve probably mentioned to you that both of us are experiencing weariness; we are just tired. He was diagnosed almost 4 months ago and we have been living in these two week cycles practically since then. It’s tiring.

I’m asking for specific prayers today before heading into this next round of chemo (round 8), tomorrow, Sept. 19.

  1. That the chemo continues to completely eradicate the cancer

  2. That Ben is able to sleep and that his rest days are restorative

  3. For endurance and a spirit of perseverance (Romans 5:3)

  4. That our whole family stays healthy through this round

  5. That there won’t be any last minute changes or scheduling issues (first round without out of town visitors - need the plan to not change for this planner!)

Our prayer for all those reading this and praying for us:

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ.”  - 2 Corinthians 1:3-5
