Scans and treatment updates

Oct 13, 2023

The last two weeks have been filled with a lot of ups and downs, and most of all, uncertainty. We have met with Oncology and both surgeons (liver and colon) at this point we do know a few things:

  1. The chemo has worked really well and the masses in both his colon and liver have responded with great significance.

  2. The most recent MRI had some inconclusive results on the current size of the tumor in the colon (the primary tumor), however, the Colo-Rectal surgeon didn’t see any physical evidence of the tumor during the digital rectal exam at his latest appointment - this is huge news!

  3. His 10th round of chemo is Tuesday, Oct 17.

At this point we need to have a few more follow up conversations with the medical team and have decisions to make on our end, but wanted to share that we are overall very happy with the progress Ben has made and know that prayer has specifically been answered. We know he will do the next round of chemotherapy but no other decisions have been made after that.

We ask that you continue to pray for wisdom and discernment for us. Thank you all for your continued love and support for our family.
