Prayers for July

One of Ben’s nurses last week asked him how many rounds of chemo he had done and Ben sadly responded, “I lost count”. So here we are, a few infusions later. Ben has had two more rounds of chemo during the month of June that included the additional drug that he was on last year. There was a little bit of a learning curve with this regimen and when he came home from his infusion he spiked a really high fever, resulting in us having to go to the ER to rule out everything but mostly infections. After this experience, we knew what to look for and/or anticipate with his round last week. He did spike a fever again, but after a few hours of monitoring from home it subsided and no trips to the ER 👏🏻 We are also introducing a few more integrative approaches to his treatment and one key change is to his diet. We are hopeful that these changes and additions will only help heal the inside of his body.
Prayers for JULY:
For smooth and uneventful infusions - after 2 unexpected hospital trips in May and June, I pray for no speed bumps in July!
That the chemo he is on continues to kill all the cancer in his liver and lungs
That he remains disciplined in diet and that he has no desire for foods/drinks that are not serving him (I’m just going to call diet coke out right here)
He will have 3 more infusions before imaging in August. Once we have those dates, we will share them. Thank you for continuing to pray boldly for our family.
