Round 3 Updates

Ben had his 3rd infusion on Tuesday and he is doing really well. He slept a lot on Tuesday but his largest symptoms are fatigue and the neuropathy which causes sensitivity to cold, especially in his fingers and also when he drinks liquids. Otherwise, he is doing really well. He has a normal appetite and is already looking forward to his next bike ride 🙂

We also met with this Oncologist on Tuesday and he already ordered a new set of scans that he will be getting the first week of August. These scans will show how he is responding to the treatment and then determine if any adjustments need to be made to the plan. His Oncologist said that right now, Ben will be going through 12 infusions, but that will be subject to his ongoing bloodwork and updated scans. With the 2 week cadence, that would put his 12th infusion in mid-November. 

The boys had the best time away with all their cousins and my family over the past week. Ben and I had an amazing week together and we are so grateful for that time. We can’t wait to get back together as a family tonight.
